Review of Nisekoi: False Love

I'm not a fan of rom-coms but they seem to be the type of anime I would check out whenever I get stuck or tired finding one and that's how I found Nisekoi. I have no idea why but this will be my first anime review. Story: 6 The story is somewhat decent, it had some very cliche moments but also had some nice moments. It made me want to stop watching the anime while at the same time want to finish the anime. Art: 8 Rom-coms tend to have decent animations or designs but this part is what helped me finish the anime. The character designs for thegirls were pretty especially in the later parts of the show. The atmosphere in some scenes really made them fitting or somewhat nice but pretty much this part is what attracted me to continue.

Characters: 7

I actually enjoyed watching most of the characters, I thought that Ichijou, Kirisaki, and Kosaki make a fun trio to watch. Tsugumi and Tachibana were also fun as well. The harem core is I'd say a decent core for a story like this. I think the side characters were alright. I'd say the only problem with this part is their personality or what the author made them do pretty much (especially the background characters).

I couldn't really enjoy the whole thing due to some weird scenes like where Seishirou was "dueling" with Raku and as they start the so called "duel", Seishirou apparently had guns INSIDE the school and no one gave a damn that he could've probably killed someone. That part is what made me feel uneasy as I finish the show. I enjoyed the ecchi scenes BUT the story just can't get me continuing any longer.

There are apparently two seasons for this show, I think I won't and will never ever watch the second season. The ending just doesn't let me feel like watching any more of this show. To summarize how I feel about this show, It started to get fun and funnier until I got tired of it. The cliche is predictable or in fact you can pretty much tell what's gonna happen in the next episode or so. I don't think this show is unwatchable, it did make me feel uneasy at the end but it cheered me up, pissed me off just like most rom-coms. I almost dropped this anime but after seeing the ending I feel like it's just alright.
