Review of Devilman: Crybaby

This anime is so bonkers I don't even know where to start. I wasn't familiar with the 1972 version so I went into it blind. I'm definitely not against violence and gore having watched or read many seinen manga (Ubel Blatt, Berserk, Higurashi) but I suppose for fans of the original, the over-the-top violence and sex IS the reason to watch it. But it's not for everyone and definitely not for me. The story really made no sense and the characters' reactions to much of the stuff happening are ridiculous (Guy pulls out a machine gun? don't care. But him driving without a license? Is shocked.) Imostly found the first half boring and only really episode 9 and 10 for the drama but that's it. And what's with the sudden breasts on a guy?
