Review of Black Butler: Book of Circus
I've loved Kuroshitsuji since the beginning, though the second season left me more than a little confused, considering it went trailing off on it's own storyline rather than sticking with the manga. However, Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus has come back on track with the manga including my all-time favorite ark. The art is beautiful and more crisp than season one. The characters are utter perfection and I found myself falling in love with Kuroshitsuji all over again. I'm a fan of dark fantasy, which is why Kuroshitsuji is one of my favorites. Sebastian and Ceil are tied together by a dark anddisturbing fate, a key factor in this ark. The anime did an amazing job in giving the facts of Ceil's past, but also cluing in viewers who are unfamiliar with the initial story.
Overall, this Circus ark was moving and disturbingly beautiful. The characters are well-rounded and complex, the art is gorgeous, and you get to experience the classic Kuroshitsuji fun. I definitely recommend this to anyone, Kuroshitsuji fan or not.
