Review of Hyouka

Story: The story is about Oreki Houtarou journey in school club. notihing special, just everyday with small fun mystery. (it's slice of life, nothing to expect here) Art: Kyoto Animation is always praised for it's good art and animation. Hyouka is by far one of the most beautiful animes I've ever seen. The characters design is designed so well and fit with their personality. The composition of the shots, symbolism, timing, and the details is also amazing, not like usual TV series. It felt like I was watching an anime movie instead of a tv show. Movements are also fluid and small details being animated is greatly done. Sound: Thesoundtrack fits the anime perfectly. From comedy to drama to the start of the mystery the soundtrack fits the mood perfectly and only elevate the enjoyment even more. The first and second openings are also great songs.

Character:
Now the true reason this anime is so enjoyable is all about character. Oreki character is greatly potrayed, the way he think, act, and feel incredibly well depicted. It also helped by detailed chacater gesture animation. I see this anime not about mystery, mystery just a thing that potray how each characters approach it, it's a plate, not the main dish. More and more we know about this character and personality, feel dragged inside oreki's world. Even with mystery genre, this show tell us more about romance. For me this show have one of the best romance depiction i know, it took long and detailed progress without anyone pursuing it. Unlike like others, this show describe that feeling into much deeper and detailed progress of experience and understanding.

I'll just say it right now. Hyouka is one of the best character depth anime for me. The mysteries are enjoyable and light. The character interaction was great.The animation phenomenal. Whats more there to say. I would definitely recommend this to people who love romance and mysteries.
