Review of Sword Art Online

I saw this anime prob around 2014. The hype of this anime was enormous around this time, and I think that's the reason why I enjoyed it the most. People need to understand that if you see something that is constantly turned down by others, your approach and first impressions would be negative and you wouldn't enjoy it. I honestly rewatched the show last year, and still have a similar opinion, although now that I grew up I realized some things were stupid and that it wasn't the perfect show, but no the worst as other people say. ] Story: 7/10. The plot and the concept ispretty original. Although there are tons of timeskips, I don't see this is a major problem. I watched this series when I was 10 years old and it never felt difficult for me to understand what was happening. The second arc of the season I would admit it sucks. They pacing is very rushed and that's why lot's of people don't like SAO.

Art: 9/10 Keep in mind 2021 anime starters that this show was animated in 2012 (the manga being written in 2009). The visuals, background, characters and bosses are perfectly animated. It is true there were other animes like fate/zero that had better animations around that time, but that doesn't change the fact SAO animations for that time were incredible.

Sound: 10/10 Perfect OST's. What can I say. Just rewatch the OST's in youtube and you'll feel nostalgic.

Character: 5/10 When I rewatched the anime last year I became aware how poorly the character's personalities were. An op main character, the typical tsundere waifus that doesn't do nothing, and all females want kirito's dick. I have to admit this is an anime that doesn't focus on the characters. That's why we see tons of timeskips that don't show what the characters are doing.

Enjoyment: 8/10 Pretty fun anime. The humour is nice, the plot as said is pretty interesting, and it's about a videogame. Who wouldn't enjoy an anime of videogames being a gamer. The first thing you think after watching SAO is that you want to play it.

Overall: 7-8/10 It is true in my anime list I rated the show an 8, but that's a biased opinion. I still think after rewatching that it's a pretty good show. Amazing art, animations, sounds, interesting plot. It's SAO, which started a gaming trend over all animes.
