Review of School Days

Okay so let me just put it out there why some hate this and why some like it. So basically if youre looking for a meaningful romance, or a classic harem anime trope, fun and good drama, yeah you'll hate this, you'll probably even see this anime as absolute garbage. But, here is the but! But, if you are looking for something fresh, interesting, mind boggling, and intriguing for a critique, watch this with an open mind and enjoy the absolute chaos. Majority of people hate the anime because "oh the characters so unrealistically dumb and illogical" well the author did want them to bestupid, that's the point of the anime, the story was made to be chaotic, its a story of abosolute chaos and ruin. And if the author succeeded on making you feel uncomfortable, don't you think the author actually did a good job? If you've watched the movie "Uncut Gems" then you'll get how ridiculous this anime is. Probably the only plot hole was that all characters had thd same traits, theyre all selfish and self-centered, but perhaps the author did it that way, or there will be no chaos. The characters' absolute stupidity was necessary for the story to work, and if you also watched this with an open mind, nog expecting anything, you'll think the same like the few who commends this anime.

Basically in short, characters? Absolute trash, like you're watching a bunch in immature teenagers play around with relationship, not taking responsibility and stuff. But due to that, the story works very well, and the evidence of the characters being garbage is what makes it good is the anime achieves you to be pissed at them, which is a sign of a good written character. Yeah go ahead, try making a character that makes people pissed, it's not all that easy as you think it is.

Music? Average

Art? Old style yeah, but i like the character designs, though the two main girl looked very generic.

Voice acting? Top notch drama level. Even bad anime has good voice acting, so a good anime with good VA is great.

Story? Funniest thing you'll ever see, it'll keep you cursing at every single moment. At first you think it'll be a generic love triangle, but then it gets complicated, and it gets worse, up until that ending hahaha, oh you'll love it.

So in total, 10/10 as a respect to the author since he did make me feel what he wanted me to feel, uncomfortable and pissed. It was a great ride, i do hope more people watch it.
