Review of School Days

After watching the entirety of School Days it is in my view not as awful as people make it out to be. At the beginning of School Days it was a boring generic romance anime that I felt compelled to drop after the first 2 episode. However, once the true elements of the story came out I realized how this anime is different from most drama/romance anime. This anime is willing to take risks by introducing themes in its stories that you wouldn't normally find in anime. People despise School Days because the characters commit such heinous actions but these are things done bypeople in real life, albe/it not to the extreme that the characters in School Days have done. This anime does not hold back even a little when it comes to controversal topics and it's the most redeeming quality of this anime. However, this anime is not entertaining because of its lackluster beginning and its continuously changing plot. Furthermore, none of the characters are in anyway people you can root for to succeed in the end and the ending leaves you feeling very disappointed. The anime suffers from the fact that it can't decide on what to focus on, it move from plot a in one instance to plot b in another instance within a 4 minute span. There's so much going on at once its very difficult to keep track of. The music and art is nothing particularly remarkable.
