Review of School Days

This is one of the best Psychological Animes I've ever watched. The way it just deconstructs the cliche Harem genre. I watched this expecting a typical harem anime, knew nothing about its infamous backlash. Was already trying to determine a ship as the show went on. But get to episode 4, I start to see the MC in a different light. Next thing you know I'm rooting against the MC because of how he's acting. He became the villain of his own story and it just works. He was such a likable MC... relatable even on some levels. And that character building was torn down sobeautifully.

My enjoyment and will to keep watching the anime would be conflicted after each episode due to the sheer frustration the characters caused. But it kept me anxious hoping for the best so I pushed on to be able to finish it.

I was so intrigued by the story that I went and bought the Visual Novel it was based on to see if I could repent his mistakes. And it was then I realized what the MC really is and it just made the anime even better looking back on it.
