Reviews if you don't have time. *SPOILER-FREE* Once in a while, shows like “AnoHana” air and the whole community witnesses a masterpiece being created. “AnoHana” is an original project brought to life by A-1 Pictures studio as the animation lead, and what an amazing work they were able to accomplish. It is fair to say that animating a show is never easy, and by today’s standards even bigger of a challenge it presents. But, when a show revolving around heavy, emotional and intense moments is animated there is an extra layer to it: conveying those feelings. And this show doesan outstanding job at it. From the scenes and backgrounds to the characters and their expressions, A-1 Pictures is able to deliver each and every feeling to the viewer in a beautiful way. Add and an amazing soundtrack and you have one of the greats in the genre.

Despite the awesome animation, there is still two aspects of “AnoHana” that shine brighter: story and character development. In both fields, this show puts up a masterclass. The premiss is very well engineered, the development has excellent writing and pace, and to top it off it displays one of the best climaxes ever. On the other hand, the struggles and hardships that each protagonist has to face allows them to grow and be better, in a very fulfilling redemption-like story that sometimes hits way to close to home.

To be honest, “AnoHana” is not a show that can be put into words and any other means despite watching probably doesn’t make it justice. As one of the best in the genre, is a must that, at least once, anyone experiences this masterpiece of animation.
