Review of Black Rock Shooter

Alright this show was all over the place. Oh my goodness. What the darn. I watched this thing when i was maybe like 12 or something and im probably in no position to provide a critical analysis but the show's tendency to be the most retarded thing ever and yet still enjoyable has stuck with me to this day. It's probably good that I am making this my first review because this show is something that i remember so fondly. And probably not for the right reasons. Remembering this show is like trying to eat a Campbell's® Chunky™ Soup with a fork. You're gonna get somechunks of good meat but your also not gonna get a lot of what makes the flavors come together.

What does that mean? Fuck if I know. But you can probably figure it out.

This may seem like a rant but i promise that this is getting somewhere.

First of all the story made no sense. All i can tell you is that there was girls fighting in another dimension, while a reality version of themselves deal with emotional issues and the girls fighting in the other dimension are linked with what what was happening in the real world.

And the emotional issues seemed pointless and stupid and not realistic at all. I'll refrain from going in depth on any of the "drama", both because I don't want to spoil and also because i cant even remember a single one because they were so lackluster.

Though it seems like I'm just shitting on this show... that doesnt mean i hated it. The character designs were freaking rad and the animation was fun to watch. And though the Real life drama that the girls are going through seemed mostly pointless, it was interesting to see it personified with robot girls fighting.

So i would honestly highly recommend this show. I feel like this is probably the worst show I've ever seen but it was a bizarre adventure going through this show's awful flaws and see them pathetically attempt to wrap themselves up.

It is an incredible experience to see something so bad be so good.
