Review of High School DxD

While I was searching for shows to watch last year, High School DxD came up. I was excited to watch it since the female lead was Yoko Hikasa, who is one of my favorites. First of all, the nudity was annoying. I could handle it because I've watched worse but it was still annoying...on a Strike Witches level if you know what I mean. I liked how Kiba was there to balance out the ratio of girls vs boys in the club and how Koneko was there to counter the large busts of Rias, Akeno, and Asia. Personally Ithink Akeno looked too plain and typical but Rias' bright red hair was pleasing to look at. Usually demons are designed with horns, tails, and/or wings, but the demon wings in High School DxD are unique since they come from the lower back instead of from the shoulders and the way they curve is beautiful.

Trip ~Innocent of D~ by Larval Stage Planning and STUDYxSTUDY by StylipS were good songs but I liked STUDYxSTUDY better. I think the ending has something to do with it.

My favorite part of the show was the ending. The pole dancing was an excellent touch and the fact that they were barely clothed was a rest on the eyes.

In my mind I was saying "This show is so bad..." The same applied to one of my favorite shows: Koe de Oshigoto! The nudity in that anime was so bad but it was so interesting that the nudity did not matter as much.
High School DxD also reminded me of Freezing but while Freezing disturbed me with nudity, gruesome battle scenes, and f***ed up plot events, High School DxD was only slightly annoying in comparison. There was also love at the end which I enjoy but they didn't go too far which is fine since Issei isn't worthy of Rias at the moment.

Overall it was an good show to watch if you can handle it.
