Umi Monogatari is one of the most beautiful story told within the length of twelve episodes with some moments being cliche but its easy to look past that as it fits in perfectly as the story progresses. The story begins with two sisters Marin and Urin who are mermaids found a ring floating down towards them, one of the sisters Marin taught that it was beautiful and vowed to return it to its owner. Upon finding the owner Kanon, she tossed the ring away which lead the sisters to search for it to return it to her once more and from there the story of friendship, selflessduty and sacrifice begins for the three girls as they draw in closer to each other.
