Review of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

Title says 'You Can (Not) Redo'. But the very opposite of it happens. Shinji fails being a protagonist and he creat more of a mess. Art style can easily distinguished from previous two parts as it doesn't gave same animation vibe as other two. Sound and music quality has improved alot along with introduction of Nagisa Kawru. Characters shown for these installment are very complex and hard to know their motives ; this is where production failed at their presentation for making viewers understand the plot. So, here I am writing off, what did I understand so far from the 3rd installment of Evangelion Spin-offmovie.

14 years has been passed. After the 3rd wave caused by awakening of Shinji, world has changed and many life forms went extinct. Earth looks like covered with red, on the present time. With the 3rd wave, the organization as well go with betrayal among themselves. The evangelion unit came to know all the plan behind 3rd wave. NERV becomes deranged organization, left out by all employees after knowing Gendou Ikari is all behind the extortion of Evangelion and Angles. Katsuragi Misato leads her own team under WILLE, whose only target is the extermination of NERV. Shinji wakes up after 14 years in comma, get shocked as he see the world very different from what he had seen when he was conscious last time. He comes to believe the new reality after seeing his friend Toji's sister Sakura Suzuhara grown up in front of eye; still not convinced with Rei being dead and his awakening caused this massive problem, where they stand now. Only after few hours of gaining sense NERV attacks on WILLE and take Shinji from base ship of WILLE. In the old base of NERV he came to meet Nagisa Kawru, who becomes vishesh friend as no people are left behind in the place after 3rd wave. Nagisa shows Shinji, what happend to the world after the interference of door of cause. It been shown that upper ground has been fully destroyed, remaining artifacts survived are from underground. Nagisa becomes only reliable friends of Shinji in new world, who teach him how to play piano and how to co operate when they will be piloting same Evangelism unit. Shinji further introduced with Rei ; gets happy seeing her alive, later gets to know the original Rei died in 3rd wave. Shinji tries to be childish here, as he believes he didn't commit any sin and he shouldn't be blamed for what happens d 14 years ago. Spending more time in NERV, Shinji gets to know his father's Human instrumentality project which is caused when someone trigger to open doors of Guf. Further learns that Rei is just a replica of his mother Yui Ayanami. Yui was the one, who tested very early version of evangelion of EVA control system. She is the one envisioned direct core of entry system where she disappeared. To fulfill her dream Gendou is doing all these evolve occurrence in earth through trigger. Even after learning all these information Shinji along with Nagisa go on a rescue of Lilith angle. It is where they use double user monitored EVA-13. With new version of Rei, they go to underground, where there mission was to take back two Spears from the back of Lilith; this is where they got interrupted by Asuka and Mari. Once again Shinji shows his dumbness and pull the trigger to open door of Guf by taking out the spears from Lilith's body. The very next moment EVA-13 gets awakened and turns into Adams vessel, it leads to occurrence of 4th wave. Before it happens Nagisa realise, he is the 13th angle that caused the trigger and decides to do suicide. It helps them from preventing 4th wave and also helps Shinji realise how dumb his action always has been. In the process he lost his friend Nagisa and ended up in a desert Ike place along with Ner version of Rei and Asuka. They leave us in a thrill moment. Good story overall but makers couldn't make a good ending.
