Centuria · review
Centuria is a seriously underrated work. Especially for today’s times, the manga presents an incredibly tragic story. What Centuria does particularly well is its unique characters — featuring a well-written main cast and strong antagonists. I also really like the system behind the fights, which often leads to very exciting dynamics. I’m not a huge fan of how the characters are drawn, but the highlight panels are absolutely stunning. There are so many beautifully illustrated double-page spreads that truly stand out. Another aspect I really appreciate is the mystery surrounding the world. Just read a bit, and you’ll notice how skillfully the story handles it and even playswith it to deliver genuinely strong twists.
For me, Centuria is a real surprise.
