It has an intense premise, but the protagonist is a total moron and the girl is basically an NPC, which completely ruins the serious vibe. The friends serve as comic relief and act as a bridge in this cohabitation relationship, mostly to put into words what these cardboard characters are incapable of saying themselves. The art is pretty generic, too. Usually, that wouldn't matter much for a Light Novel adaptation, but since the characters are so stiff, it just amplifies how boring the whole thing is. It's a good concept that was totally wasted here. Unfortunately, I’m forced to drop this series at chapter 17. Everything interesting aboutthe premise becomes completely boring and unbearable due to how poorly written the characters are. I guess I'll have to give the LN a shot instead."
