Review of Tsukigakirei
This is an example of how a story can be interesting and go on, even if it's about normal people and normal life. Characters are fantastic. They feel like REAL teenagers, some brave, some shy. As both main characters are. And even though they are, they don't stay in one place. They always try to move on in their relationship, they overcome struggles and other people, because they love each other. They are shy, but not afraid. In other series, I've seen so many times characters just doing nothing losing their chance, but it's not about this show. Here they can stand up for themselves. And they don't need to create artificial drama that we also often see in other shows, where the main characters resent on each other without any normal reason. They can be jealous when somebody is talking about their partner, but they understand that it's not their fault. This is what I really liked about this show. It's a breath of fresh air after lots of stupid interactions between people. Here they act how they actually need and want to.
The character score is obviously 10 out of 10
The story is very good but nothing really special happens, so it's 9 out of 10.
I've seen some people say that the animation looks rough, which I can kinda agree on but you can see that authors did everything they could. Face animations are VERY good, even though sometimes body movement can be "laggy" because they couldn't draw enough frames. I guess it's out of budget restrictions and it's completely fine because mostly animations are on point.
The animation is solid 8 out of 10.
Can't say anything about the sound, so it's just fine, 7 out of 10.
Enjoyment. My favorite part. I can't say I was really interested to watch the show like I could not watch it for a day if I needed or I could go to sleep if I wanted instead of watching it, but I was interested of what's going to happen in the current and next episodes. It wanted watchers to cry in a couple of moments, and it got me twice. One is a scene that reveals the Azumi's mother character and the ending... IT IS FANTASTIC. OH MY GOD, IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Damn, all 12 episodes were worth it AT LEAST because of the end. THIS is how you end a love story anime. Not some uncertain bull****. Straightforward, but catching. 9 out of 10.
Don't be overexcited about everything I've said here, you should clear your mind and watch it. A couple of episodes a day really suited for me, don't think all in one go would be the same experience, even though I love to watch stuff in one go, but judge for yourself. Must watch, period. If you have a couple to watch it with, perfect.
