Review of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online

What a cluster. The beginning was promising enough, socially awkward girl goes into game to be better at being social (that is the spoiler free version). You see a fairly good character arc for the MC and a passable zero to hero run out of it. Then the second half starts up. What is it with the SAO series and having a god awful second half? Take everything good about the first half and throw it out the window for the second half. Characters turn completely one dimensional, plot becomes outright idiotic, action is so cringe it constantly takes you out of the show, andthe ending is almost incomprehensibly bad.

Save yourself some time and don't even start this series. It starts out good enough and that makes how bad it gets even worse somehow.
