Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu or Parasyte the maxim is one of those anime that constantly has you at the edge of your seat. The show centers around parasitic alien life form coming to earth and taking over the bodies of humans by merging with their brains, kinda like invasion of the body snatchers. the show follows Sixteen-year-old high school student Shinichi Izumi who falls victim to one of these parasites, but it fails to take over his brain, ending up in his right hand instead. The story and themes of this show have been told many times across film, cartoons and other anime however, Parasyte tells thestory of how mankind killing the earth and other life forms in a unique way that was enjoyable to watch. Main character Shinichi Izumi was handled pretty well in my opinion. I enjoyed his development throughout the show and how he changed from shy kid to total badass and I found him to be pretty relatable which is always a positive. The main parasite Migi was also pretty fun, I enjoyed the interactions between him and Schinichi and found their back and fourth throughout the show quite interesting. The supporting characters were also good although they lacked in the character department area some were still really great with the standout in my opinion being Reiko Tamura. The love interests Murano and Kana were decent but could have used more development in my opinion.

Madhouse studios once again do a fantastic job with the art and sound. The action sequences were absolutely phenomenal especially the fights between Shinichi and Goto. The voice acting was passable, none of the performances really stood out, but I think the actors did an incredible job.

Overall, I found Parasyte to be an incredible anime, I enjoyed the story, the comedy and the action sequences and loved the main character. The only problem I have with the show is that I would have liked to know more about the origins of the Parasites.
