Season 1 started cooking, and Season 2 served the full meal. For me, it was easy to rank this higher than the first because we finally got so many of the things we’d been waiting for. The story shows steady development—Jin-Woo keeps growing stronger, facing tougher battles, and we’re introduced to new characters who actually get some development of their own. We also got long-awaited moments like the re-evaluation of Jin-Woo’s rank, along with other big payoffs I won’t spoil here. Artstyle wise, I would say it’s above average for sure. The animation is solid, and the colors fit the atmosphere of the show really well, makingeverything feel consistent and immersive.

Overall: I honestly don’t get why some people aren’t happy with Season 2. Maybe it’s because they built up different expectations from reading the manhwa, maybe they dislike the heavier fights and blood, or maybe they expected something more family-friendly like Spy x Family or My Hero Academia. But not every show needs 100 episodes of filler to push the plot forward. Personally, as someone who read the manhwa and is a fan of the genre, I really enjoyed this season. If you liked the first one for more than just the hype, then this is a must-watch.
