Absolute cinema. A beautiful story with lots of thought-provoking ideas exploring life, its meaning, and our relationships with one another. Very emotional anime, I was a leaking faucet a few times throughout, especially at the end. Lots of nostalgia as well, which is great for people who are trying to figure out what they want to do and be remembered for. Characters are very well written, with realistic scenarios and lots of character growth. It is a slower anime, so it may not be for everyone who wants just battle after battle, but the art and fight choreography is fantastic when it does happen. However, the light-hearted andcomedic nature of the show even during more serious moments sets a (consciously) unhurried pacing that perhaps a less mature audience won't appreciate. Overall, it has a bit of everything, so even if someone doesn't enjoy some aspects (e.g. the slow pacing, more relaxed characters, lack of an end goal, more slice-of-lfe focused), they'll certainly have something to appreciate due to the show's high quality.

Definitely something everyone should experience, especially for those aged 14-26, before they find themselves in the same position as Frieren herself.
