I think that the Great Pretender is a great anime and I enjoyed it a lot, but there is just one huge problem with the show that really detracted from the experience, which is why I wouldn't rate it a 9 and rather an 8, that being the extremely predictable plot twists. Whenever some big bad thing would happen to the characters I would immediately know "oh yeah this is just an act or fake that didn't actually happen". That was my only gripe with the show, other than that, the music was great, the art was great, and the plot was mostly great.
