Review of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3

This season of Konosuba was a step up from earlier seasons and even the movie in some regards. My biggest gripe with a show like Konosuba is ironically the sexual humor, and to my liking, there was little to be had in this season. It may be a solid reason as to why I found this to be more enjoyable. Not to say all sexual humor isn't funny, as the only sexual humor scene I've ever actually laughed at was in this season, but usually I don't like it in my shows. That aside, the two overarching stories in this season were primarily for Darknessbut extended to the whole cast as well. Another one of my gripes with this show was Darkness herself, who had not evolved in the slightest and the only jokes she was good for were sexual ones. Her taking centerstage made me a bit uneasy but they handled it extremely well and I actually cared about her by the end. It also showed that this was the best Konosuba has been from a narrative perspective. The entire season proved to me that both the edge and the chemistry has not diluted in the slightest. I appreciated that the growing relationships in the party aren't being ignored or postponed in any dumb and poorly written way like most other shows do with romance involved, it feels natural and organic in how far along we are in the story. Overall really enjoyed this season and it now sits comfortably as the best Konosuba has to offer so far with its action, humor, worldbuilding, character building, and everything in between.
