Review of Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld Part 2

I am kind of shocked. I normally even enjoy shows were it's to "cringe" to even look at. Normally some shows can be even very good that way if they don't take themselves seriously. Unfortunately Sword Art Online (i think) wants to be taken seriously. Don't get me wrong i enjoyed the first part of Sword Art Online: Alicization, but the whole underworld Arc was just a mess. Even the first part of Alicization is not worth it to suffer through the rest of the series. Positives first. I think the Art and Animation was still very good can't really argue with the point that the fightswere well animated. Musik was also decent even though they reused the original soundtracks of SAO quite often (which isn't that bad since i quite like it^^). Normally the music helps me a lot to enjoy even bad animes, but unfortunately not this time.
Everything that happened in the show was just random. No not "subvert expectations" random, random random. The illogical introduction/re-introduction of characters to the new story, the illogical power levels of antagonists and protagonists and just the illogical technical part of it all made the show to hard to even look at. Yes i know anime doesn't have to be logical, but at some degree its starting to get hard to get invested in a show were nothing makes sense.
Even the characters emotional reaction were completely all over the place. Like could you stop crying for 2 minutes.

Overall it just seems like the author wanted to smash everything he created into the show and make it seem like there was always a connection between everything that happened in SAO no matter how illogical and out of place it seems. It's really a shame considering how Alicization started, but i wouldn't recommend even watching the first part if you are interested how it continues after that. The underworld arc is not recommendable unless you are a hard core fan who just really enjoyed every SAO arc and its characters.
