Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

Season one was pretty basic, but season 2 is pretty great. Good enough story, good characters, amazing fight scenes. Just a few small loopholes in direction, else this is a probably best donghua to watch if you like leveling up kind of world. Things I like: - Good characters and complex relationships between them - A lot of different and unique powers and leveling ups - Amazing fight scenes and animation - No MC fooling around with multiple women, even though he can - Addicting storyline, fast pace and a lot of fights keeps you hooked all the time***** A few spoilers below *****
A few things I don't like are (very specific things) :
- Tang San and Xiao Wu's weird relation dynamic of sister + lover, maybe it is badly translated in subs but it is definitely weird.
- Repeated animation sequences, like when using a power
- Random soul power usages, sometimes they run out of soul power after 2 skill usage, sometimes they can go on for days like when Tang san fights 7 ocean island elders in 1 day
- People sometimes forget they have different skills/powers. Like Tang-san has healing power but never heals his friends. He has boundless eye, still uses Blue silver domain to check for surroundings. Etc.
- Sacrifice for lover concept is overused
- Emotions are shown less, maybe a con of 3D animation
- Plot armour is used a lot, Tang San get saved on verge of death literally tens of times
