Review of Hyouka

The main character Houtarou describe high school as people wanting a rose colored life, the life of fun and merriment, while he himself want to live a gray colored world. His mentality is that doing things in life takes too much energy and an effort to conserve energy, if he doesnt have to do something he won't, unfortunately he has the talent on figuring out something unexplainable. Being able to logically map out a plausible reasoning for most situations, the only problem is he doesn't have the right personality to actually want to use this skill on his own. Enter Chitanda the glowing ball ofcuriosity, although Chitanda is shown to be book smart, in the world of practicality she can be a little slow. But this is where her lust of explanation come in. Although her curiosity can sometimes be over shown, it makes her lovable and hate attracting girl sometimes. These main characters serves as an introduction to a greater world of curiosity, having different personality enhances their characters overall. The first mystery of Sekitani Jun is very good, it was written very well, it is not perfect but yes its beyond good. This series will give you a "1 more episode syndrome" that's how good it is.
