Review of Sword Art Online

This show had so much wasted potential it actually pains me. At first when I watched this show as a newbie anime fan I actually enjoyed this show, until I actually began to watch other anime and realized that this wasn't that good on a actual level. The characters Kirito, Asuna were just downright boring. They both didn't get any backstory throughout the entire show (the first sword art online only) and Kirito was basically the most cliche that a anime protagonist gets. Another things I though this show could've done better with is the fact that they tried to mixsingular person romance with harem. In the show (this isn't really a spoiler) they direct some of the focus to the romance of Kirito and Asuna yet at the same time they tried to do a harem thing where literally EVERY OTHER GIRL WANTED HIM. You don't mix those two. Another thing I disliked about the anime is the rushed feel to it, like sometimes the anime would skip forward 6 months in-between 2 episodes (its been awhile so I don't know if that's 100%a) like there was so much of the story skipped that could've added to it but instead they rushed the series so that I ended faster than it needed to. There were however some good things including the flashy action and...just the action. The only reason I gave the story a 7 was because yeah the story was good but the way it was presented and viewed wasn't that good. Moving onto the second half... all I have to say is... IT WAS WORSE. That's all 5/10.
