Review of Full Metal Panic!

So I decided to give FMP a proper watch after pretty much giving up on it the first time and rating it pretty low. On second viewing, after sitting down and watching it properly, with an open mind, I enjoyed it this time. It's certainly not the worst but no where near the best. It's a fairly entertaining show but I'd say it's certainly aimed more at the younger anime audience. At times it's just that little bit too ditzy for me & the action scenes just lack something. It's a mecha anime but the parts I enjoyed, didn't involve mecha whatsoever. The non-action, lighthearted side of the story is the high point of the series.

From this series and on the strength of the FMP fanbase, I will definately continue watching FUMOFFU & Second Raid but I'm expecting a bit more from each. This series delivered just enough to keep me interested and I have heard that the next two series get better.
