Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

Thumbs up for this anime for two reasons: 1. Plot is good. The context of the anime piques the interest of dark anime enthusiasts. The world building is good. On the early stages of the plot, I noticed that the hype of the anime is shounen - like, the classic way of showing awesome fight scenes to set the hype on the anime. Good guy Migi and partner Shinichi vs. bad parasites. But as you go on, the anime plot tries to raise philosophical values which will make you reflect if these bad guys are really bad guys or not that will make you reflectat some parts.

2. Characters are good. First I commend the character development of Shinichi. From a nerdy guy to a hottie after a lot of trials he faced is not something you always see. Well, I guess there are some parts wherein they insert some love triangle plot by adding characters in the picture, but I guess that's unnecessary. I like how various are the parasites on strength. The characters are doing what they are supposed to do.

The anime is worth watching. Given the reasons I gave above. Thus, I give this anime a 7 - good.
