This show opens with a guy fighting a grizzly bear in a cage match and ends with a group of bio-enhanced humans gifted with the powers of the most random animals (example: Mantis Shrimp) waging war against an army of cockroach humanoids who have a tendency to literally stomp your face in. On Mars. The Story, Art, Sound, and Character I would all give a 5/10. Terraformars is equally average in all those aspects. The story is nothing new: the show introduces a bunch of characters at first and as each episode unfolds you learn about a particular character and their ever-so tragic backstory via flashback. The art design is so ugly and unappealing that is almost laughable. The cockroach humanoids resemble Japanese salarymen crossed with cavemen with insect wings. There are some well animated action scenes, so that helped me a bit in bumping the Art score to a 5. I have no real recollection of the sound design or music so yeah...5/10. The characters are completely 1-dimensional and run the gamut of every stereotype and arch-type you can think of.

Yet on the Enjoyment Scale, I would give it, without hesitation, a 10/10.

Terraformars is the new great example of the anime equivalent of a 'B-Movie.' "So bad, it's good" as the cliche states. Everything about this show is so exploitative and melodramatic, I could not stop watching. I watched episode after episode and by the end I didn't even care if the show had forgotten its overarching story (something something Mars something something hieroglyphs)

There are moments in this show that are so profoundly stupid yet at the same time gloriously epic that I would recommend this show to anyone in a heartbeat who's looking for some actual fun and enjoyment in these truly dark days.
