Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride

This review might contain small spoilers but with the MAL score it got and all the reviews that have been done it might not ever see page1.TBH with u i watched this show bc of the 3 prequel OVAs. The art and sound were incredible and I had to know how she could be saved. Mentally and figuratively (her life). This show to me started out Ok but thats bc even though shes 15 and hes 400+, and he bought her from an auction, hes not anywhere close to human and therefore has no way of kissing or having sex with her so im not sure why everyone gets mad. Now heres the issue I had. After about episode 12, the show starts to become so dark and drama/somewhat tragic that I actually had to stop watching bc of the constant worry the MC would die in the worst way possible. So I had to wait till the show was over to read and make sure that wasnt the case before continuing. The problem is I was half right so I ended up skipping episode 17-22.
Now the show ended in a sweetish manner but ofc for the people who think hes a pedofile will just lose there mind bc she does end up in a wedding dress but noone else was there so its just between the 2 MCs as a bond. NOW I have to say that most people can make it through this show if your ok with heavy dark drama but after I started my anime benge with Mirai Nikki, Im extremely scarred for life. You can be mad at me for not liking that show if you want.
. So if youre ok with what ive said then feel free to watch it but dont say you werent warned.
