To get the jokes in this show, you should be familiar with: - Trails in the Sky 1 and 2 - Trails from Zero - Ys 1, 2, 4 (any version), and 7 - Watch the Ys 1 and 2 OVA (they're pretty good too!) - Look at the box art for the US Sega Genesis version of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys - Xanadu, Dragon Slayer, and Romancia (slightly, you can just read the first paragraph from their Wiki pages) It's funny, most jokes land well, and a few have aged poorly. Mmost of the cast are one-beat gags based on adetail from their respective games - this is an especially rewarding watch for invested Falcom fans.
