Review of Fire Force

Enen no Shouboutai (2019) Fire Force turns out to be a love or hate show by how the reviews go. For me, the show is love. The over the top fight animations and the graphically pleasing scenery is perfect for the show. The show really couldn't have been done in fewer episodes and this makes it enjoyable too. You really get to know the characters and the twists and turns at many corners make it great. The art of the show is amazingly well done. The fights are beautifully animated. The fire is almost pure emotion with how personal it is to each character and howthey see the world individually.

The OP and ED change throughout the series but is a really great set. The SFX sounds during the show are enduring and of great effect. Shinra going to fly forward with the ignition of his flame is a spectacular sound every time you hear it. Even still it changes as he gets better too.

Characters at every point get developed greatly. Even supporting characters who fade off are given a strong background that achieves so much more than expected.

The show is great for those who want a fight style show that has a strong story. Some moan about the pacing in areas being slow but this is world-building and is needed.

I would recommend the show and look forward to the second season.
