Many people compare Chainsaw Man to Jujutsu Kaisen. I will not deny the similarities. Yet one major difference is watchability. I was able to get through three episodes at a time of Chainsaw Man, without any difficulty. As well as each ending credit was unique to that episode. The pacing is ideal. Jujutsu Kaisen, on the other hand, was horribly paced and too drawn out. You could tell they were trying to milk it for all it was worth. Another difference is the character development. Jujutsu Kaisen didn't make me feel any connection to the characters. While in Chainsaw Man, I learned enough about a character'sbackground and how that tied into their story. So that I could better understand who they are, without feeling bored. Characters got as much screen time as they deserved for the story and plot.

Before watching Chainsaw Man, I was worried that all the hype was for not. It was definitely worth the hype. I really hope they continue with the same pacing going forward.

Rant:
I'm so tired of this new trend of trying to milk as much out of a series with giving as little as possible. Maybe I didn't care about a story arc being eight episodes long when I was a kid, and had the time to watch it. As an adult, if you can't get through a story arc in three to four episodes and make me care for the characters. I'm not going to watch the series. I'm not going to be a fan of your series. And I'm most definitely not going to recommend your series. This rant is really aimed at the One Piece, Naruto, demon slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, superfan base that give Chainsaw Man and similar well made series a low rating because it's not as slow as what they're used to.
