We see our hero gain powerups within the span of days and weeks, rather than the first season where he worked hard for years. Side characters feel much more expendable than before and are treated as meals. Although the plot leaves much to be desired, and character development has pretty much halted, the action scenes, which is the main reason why I watch some of these donghua, still delivers. Although I hope future seasons are better, someone getting intothis for the story, would best consider stopping after at 11:04 of episode 5, and appreciating an open ended ending, where our young hero will head forth into the cultivation world.
