Review of A Whisker Away
First time review, let's go! Story: 8 The story is relatable, and follows like Coraline or Spirited Away, minus the original charm. It's good, by all means, it's good, just nothing special. It won't leave you with a lasting impression nor a feeling of great satisfaction. Art: 6 They spent more budget on animating the antagonist's cat and protagonist's cat than they did the rest of the film. Sound: 7Nothing special, it doesn't add to the film, but it also doesn't detract from the experience at all.
Characters: 9
Both Hinode and Muge are very relateable characters. Both live in complicated family situations, with the pressures of society forced upon them.
Enjoyment/Overall: 7.5
It's a good film, enjoyable, but at the same time there isn't anything special which sticks out as being "great". It's something for a late friday night when you're bored and looking for a reminder of the Ghibli and Disney days of old yonder.
