Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Where do I even start with this masterpiece .... Frieren is an anime that is very different from the big 5 that people usually talk about. There aren't fights in every episode, there aren't extremely dramatic moments around every corner but what it has is soul ! Now I am not saying the big 5 lack soul but what I am saying is that Frieren is different - it just touches your soul in one way or another! Frieren is an elf girl who lived for many years and struggles to understand people and their emotions. Through her journey we see her grow, even a tinybit, and what we can gather from her adventures is different from person to person. Some people, or rather the majority of the fan base, say that after they watched Frieren, they value time and look at it from a completely different perspective compared to how they did before. Some say that they value their friends and family a lot more because the time we have with them is limited - and so on and so on. What will you get from watching Frieren? I can't tell, but what I do know is that this show will have an impact on how you view stuff in your life !

All in all, yes the pacing of the show starts slow and picks up a bit while the episodes go on. A lot of people will say that it continues on being slow but I think that is one of the show's charms ... you really get to see how each and every character grow, how others impact them and make them re-think a lot of things that they used to do and make them change their ways.
The soundtrack is absolutely amazing, it really suits the atmosphere of the show to the last scene!

If anything what I can say is that, Frieren will remain my number 1 anime and I can say that with absolute certainty. I know that many people won't value it as high as 90% of it's fanbase, but I am sure you will find enjoyment in watching it, so go give it a go !
