Review of Fena: Pirate Princess

This anime is beautiful in its own way. The title mentioning 'Pirate' set certain expectations, then the story itself develops into something much more meaningful and layered than a typical pirate tale. However this anime is not focused on the mystery of the world or specifically tell the story of each island they go to. But it's just a season with 12 eps telling who is Fena. Watching this turn the fairy tale vibes on. Story - 7/10 Fena's journey from wanting to escape an island that would trap her to embracing her destiny as a pirate is compelling. She's innocent yet brave, cheerful yet determined,and genuinely both inside and out. As an anime with just 12 eps, it delivers a complete story within its constraints, tho I found myself wanting more of the adventure aspects :D

Themes - 10/10
It was mesmerizing hearing "Vise Versa" when Fena dancing T_T I love that vibes, thanks for the song.

Characters - 8/10
Love them all, the Goblin Knights, they're fun and trust Fena, especially Yukimaru ^^ He's cool and nonchalant, but actually cares for Fena that much.

Animation - 9/10
So gorgeous and impressive.

Overall - 8/10
