Going to keep it simple. If you enjoy traditional instruments, you are going to enjoy this one. Kinda. It has a nice ring to it. The story is so so, the characters are so so, you won't learn a lot about the instrument itself, but it's somehow exciting; I liked that there's not too much drama and action, and the music, when it's actually there, it's there - you're listening to it, you're seeing it, you're feeling it. The entire anime is about a search of a sound. Either way, if you're looking for something beautiful without many exaggerations and shitty dramas, this is it.
