A great show in a most regards although hampered slightly by poor pacing, contrived progression, and occasionally shallow characterization. Despite these flaws, Tsukimichi is still a satisfying to watch due to its various twists and turns and the detailed digressions that do well to flesh out the world and minor characters. At first glance, Tsukimichi appears to be a poor imatation of Tensei Shitara Slime, but it excels in various aspects that the latter show fails. Due to the limited budget, the animation and music are nothing special, but are serviceable for what they are. Ultimately, Tsukimichi changes up the formula enough to make abeloved but tired genre feel fresh and exciting. Whilst not a masterpiece, a highly recommended for fans of the genre.
