I Don't Know, Yoshida-san · review

I don’t quite get it, but Wakaranai desu, Yoshida-san is a new work by the author of Lust Geass. I think it’s a great choice that the author decided to tell a story set in a typical university setting, as most Japanese manga tend to focus on high school, which is probably easier to write. The protagonist is a bit of a nerd, paired with a girl who’s the campus star. The fanservice scenes are decent, not too over-the-top. The main character isn’t as annoying as the one in Lust Geass, but Yoshida-san’s personality is a bit odd—she’s way too quick to sleep with guys. She sees the protagonist as just a friend, which feels a bit too casual for someone she’s only known for four months. It’s kind of wild, but their chemistry works decently enough. Overall, it’s an enjoyable, light read that’s good for relieving stress. Honestly, I feel like this story could wrap up in one or three volumes—hopefully it doesn’t drag on too long.
