Do you know how a good story starts getting bad? There are multiple ways, but here's a simple one: you run out of creative ideas, and just write filler chapters to drag the story on for... no reason. That's also the case with this manga. The story is essentially good and it keeps you interested for a while, but then it becomes stagnant and repetitive, with a single game going on for dozens of chapters and with the storyline having the minimum progress possible. Finally, after 123 chapters that could very well have been 70, we're reaching a point where we get more explications andthings make more sense, but it feels like more than half of the manga was just a waste of time since it didn't help in reaching any of the realizations we're presented.

Also, this is definitely not horror. It's a thriller and part of the mystery genre, but not horror, no matter what the genre tags want to make you believe.

When it comes to the characters, well... it's disappointing. They are more like robots, and even when the artist is desperately trying to make them panic and appear more human by showing feelings, they just feel... off. You don't feel any horror from the manga as a whole, since not even the characters are realistic enough. The female MC is bland and pretty stupid, even though she's supposed to be smart and solves the mysteries of the game. It's like they just used her to solve what they needed to be solved, without bothering to actually make her smart and not even giving her a personality. Honestly, she's annoying. But at least most of the other characters, even the ones with only a few panels, were actually pretty interesting. It makes you wonder how did they fuck up this badly when it came to the literal MC.

Asagi is a cutie tho. Same with Taichi and Amelie. And Yuuka is smoking hot, although questionable.

Overall, give it a shot if you just want the time to pass, I guess, or if you have the will-power and the patience to read half a hundred of filler chapters and ignore a stupid MC causing problems to other people by being (duh) stupid.

Oh and... there is a lot, like, A LOT of text to read, so keep that in mind. :)
