My doctor said I should cut down on sugar, but here we are. Tamon's B-Side is a great example of a wholesome romance. While it is filled with silly moments like Tamon's gloomy overreactions and Utage's fangirling, it is ultimately a cute story about a guy who is trying his best and a girl who genuinely cares for him. On top of the main story, there are some side stories about the side characters. These stories have similar vibes to the main story, so they do not feel out of place. If that sounds like your kind of manga, that's great, but I have 2 caveats: 1. Thereis slow romance progression. This is kinda expected since an idol dating his fan (or anyone to be honest) would be a big scandal. Luckily, we still get plenty of cute moments throughout the story, but it makes me wonder how this story is supposed to end.
2. I think some of the side characters aren't as likable as the main characters. Unsurprisingly, Tamon is not the only one with a "B-Side", and sometimes a side character's "B-Side" seems to be just being mean, but luckily, I can tell you that they have a good heart underneath that meanness.
Ultimately, I think this is a great comedy romance to read if your sugar level is too low.
