Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League · review
Where the previous one is a fever dream, this is an actual movie! And I mean it with great respect to both films! Making something more coherent and grounded in source material makes for a smooth transition from the delightful chaos of the first movie. It really shines that the people working on this have grown up with Batman / Justice League (Krypton's Red sun is, for example, a bit of lore that I have not seen used before), and have meshed it perfectly with the energy of Yakuza movies Animation was once again great, continuing with the style of the latter half of the first movie. Iwas not really fond of Superman's voice actor, but he did well. Designs for all the 'villains' were once again fantastic! I really want to see those used more
This movie also makes a little joke with it's naming scheme for the 'japanified' heroes and it was a little delight to top the movie off
The plot was actually not bad! Which was an improvement. Things were being set up and actually took a second to resolve, and it didn't feel rushed or like there was something missing
Both Batman Ninja movies go extremely well for a silly movie night with friends!
