This anime is actually pretty good. The story isn't too complex, the characters aren't very complex, and the battle system, a big part of the show, makes no sense. But it'll put a smile on your face. When you're looking for entertainment and not much more, that's when a show like Hero Bank shines. It has easy jokes that you can't help but smile at, running gags that don't get old, general childlike silliness that never drops low enough to be outside of an adult's sense of humor, and the latter can be difficult to accomplish. The best joke of all, and sort of whatmakes the whole show work: The main character doesn't even seem to understand what money is.
