The art is the best part of the comic and the cyborg technology on display. The story and characters start off pretty interesting but lose track halfway through. Morality is all over the place, especially funny considering how much philosophizing is in this, but maybe thats the point too. The story should have stuck with one focused story but each volume kept introducing new threats without really bothering to explain enough about each enemy. When the third volume has footnotes every other page its a little late to even bother explaining each nation. Again though that might be the point to barely know anything about theenemy but the main characters are clearly not the bad guys so how am i supposed to feel about that? Theres a part where a character gets captured and taken back to olympus and the next chapter shes just living back at the other girls apartment as a pet cat. Doesn't make any sense. Also I don't understand what is the point of having a large chunk of the manga not be about the two main characters who are on every one of the covers. Doesn't do a good job giving much character to anyone thats not the 5 characters from the first volume either. The philosophizing was fine but I feel like it didn't really go anywhere. Theres a lot of things that are built up in the first volume that don't go anywhere like hitomi going from a maybe important character?, to girl that only exists to get naked and make existential speeches.
I don't like the movies but the best thing about them was having the main focus be about the two leads and not being chained to olympus
