First, I would like to stress that this is not a shoujo manga. I am an adult male and fully enjoyed this. Otoyomegatari is a drama, it tells the bride stories of several characters in a region not familiar to most of us. What makes this manga interesting is how details the author depicts the customs in the Caspian Sea, Central Asia region. If you are looking for very romantic stories you won't find it here. I really appreciate the research the author did for this manga, and the art is superb. Thus, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys good drama and wantto learn about other cultures.
