Review of Shakugan no Shana: Season I
I'm going to start by saying, I love shojo and shounen titles, it's fun just to watch people duke it out and turn your brain off, or watch a blossoming couple as they go about their relationship. Now this anime has both, but in my personal opinion they don't do both particularly well, except for one fight in one of the earlier episodes and the romance doesn't make me root for any particular relationship cause non of them seem believable or fun to watch. We learn bout Shana's job as a "heat haze" which sounds like a '"soul reaper" type gig which they don't explain or showreally well, like we're supposed to think she kills monsters to counter evil or somthin but she only kills like 2 in the first episode then these small fry never show up again cause we gotta focus on the bigger human looking monsters who are more powerful.
Basically this anime is like the "substitute soul reaper arc" in bleach but instead of going to the "soul society" arc it skipped over to the "arrencar" arc and keeps going with little time to explain.
I see this series has fans and since I bought it cheap I'll continue on to the rest and hope it gets better.
