Review of Plastic Neesan
Plastic nee-san is a short anime of 12 two-minute episodes. So, if you have 30 minutes of free time enjoy this anime. This anime is just a bunch of randomness with random characters having random adventures. There’s not much of a story in there so that’s one thing that’s hard to rate. The music and art in the anime are fine. Nothing outstanding in a good or bad way, but still fitting for this type of anime. The anime is about three high school students who are in a plastic models club. There’s nee-san (the main characters, now guess where the name plastic nee-san comes from)a small girl who doesn’t give a shit about what everybody says, Okappa who looks nice and innocent but is cold and violent and last of all Makimaki a girl who just tags along with the two and must put up with all the trouble the other two make. (poor girl)
So, if there’s no story and it’s just some randomness why watch it? Well, the anime’s enjoyment comes from all this randomness. It’s just funny (especially when you’re drunk) It’s short so you don’t have the time to even wonder why you are watching it, but it’s not so short that you can’t relate to the characters or get into the “story.” The adventures the three girls have are weird and somewhat unrealistic, but they always end up making me laugh.
So, if you want to watch a short anime and have a laugh (and maybe you’re a little tipsy) you should watch plastic nee-san. I’m sure not that much people will like this anime, but it’s good at what it’s made for. In the end, you only wasted 30 minutes of your life (or more is you watched this over three times, like me.)
