Review of Sword Art Online

SAO is not a bad anime, but it may be boring for people who are not into romance anime. My review Lets begin with the story. The story is ok, not the most original ever but its easy to follow and understand and it doesn't become confusing either. It is however a bit fast paced and that can be a throw off for some and it focuses more on the romance and not the plot(beating 100 floors and getting out as that was the original motif of the characters). The art is quite good. The characters and the scenes are well drawn, the movements are fluid, theeffects are good and the action scenes are well animated.

The soundtrack is good, not the most amazing but its enjoyable(I especially liked the first opening).

The characters are the only problem i have with this show.They start good and promising but become mediocre and shallow as the series go by. There are also a lot of similarities with Berserk(if someone took Berserk and adapted it for kids that is). The villains aren't that good either.

It is a an enjoyable anime as long as you don't think too much about it as you watch it.

Overall, I think its a good anime, not the best romance anime, not the best action anime, not the best isekai anime, just a good anime.
