Review of Hyouka
This anime is great, it has clean and vibrant art without blasting the watcher with "Taste the rainbow motherfucker!" saturation. The story makes progress at a steady pace with some episodes making more progress than others. With each episode you're going to laugh. Characters are unique and they are fun to watch in general. Each mystery is fun and comes with its unique process. The sounds are good, SFX wise. I personally am not a huge fan of the theme soundtracks. I'm also not a huge fan of how some characters behave post-mystery, they are usually meaningless in the process and behave as if theyparticipated a great deal. If our main character is to fail to solve something, I'm sure they wouldn't behave like that and rather let him take the full toll. That being said, the main character is a treat to watch. The thought processes he has and his ideologies are explained and you the viewer will often have a hard time debating it. His apathy creates comedy, while our main heroine makes him question said apathy, resulting in more comedy and character development. I'd recommend this to a watcher who is willing to take something steady but interesting.
